“ Having neglected to visit while I stayed in area and having a daughter that has a newly discovered love of all things Peko-Chan I decided to remedy this previous failing by taking the family out for a nice dinner. Upon entry you are greeted by cakes and sweets and the very recognizable Peko-Chan. On our way to be seated we soaked up the warm and cheery atmosphere of the restaurant. Once seated and we began checking the menu’s a crisis of choice was upon us, while decided what our daughter would have was easy the choices laid out before us proved to be quite daunting. Each page offered a new and ever growing difficult choice; such choices were an American style hamburger with cheese and onion rings, beef stew omelet rice, pastas (Bolognese in particular jumped out), the adult version of a kids plate (such is the best description for the combination laid before me on the page), curry rice, steaks, hamburg steak, katsu, fried shrimp, several combination plates of the aforementioned, and finally what won me over was the filet cut steak with garlic rice. After dinner we unfortunately skipped on the incredible looking deserts due to having already had sweets earlier in the day but assured ourselves that we would have to come back to give them a go. All in all I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and would encourage any excuse to find oneself down to Tsukui for a day of beachfront relaxing, wandering, exploring, and cap it off with a trip to a Kanagawa original. ”
